Pinche Ponche Sour Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ ounces LALO Tequila Blanco
- ¾ ounce mulled wine syrup (ponche syrup)
- ½ ounce fresh lime juice
- ¾ ounce egg white
- Garnish with apple slices
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker without ice and dry shake to emulsify the egg white.
- Add ice and hard shake for a good chill and texture.
- Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with apple slices on a cocktail pick. Makes one serving.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup piloncillo (or brown sugar)
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup red wine
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 1 star anise
- ¼ cup dried hibiscus flowers
- ½ apple, diced
Directions:
- In a saucepan, boil the water and red wine with Piloncillo, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and hibiscus.
- Add the apple, guava, and tejocotes, and simmer on low for 10-15 minutes.
- Let it sit to infuse for 2 hour.
- Strain the syrup and store in a clean jar. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
