Three Mint Cocktails Worth Making Right Now
Mint has a way of making everything feel intentional. Add it to a drink and suddenly it’s not just something cold—it’s refreshing in a way that’s hard to explain but easy to taste.
These three cocktails have been in our regular rotation for a reason. Each one uses LALO Tequila as the base, and each one lets the mint do real work—not just as a garnish, but as part of what makes the drink. Start with the Cucumber Mojitarita if you want something that’s already a crowd favorite. Move to the Mint Ranch Water when you want something lighter. And if you’re making margaritas anyway, try the Mint Margarita once—you won’t go back.
Cucumber Mojitarita
The one that started it all for us. Cucumber and mint together over LALO create something that drinks lighter than you expect—bright, a little creamy from the cucumber, with a crisp finish. It’s the cocktail that consistently disappears fastest at a gathering.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz LALO Tequila
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
- 3 oz Sparkling Mineral Water
- 5–6 Mint Leaves
- 2 Cucumber Slices
Directions
- Add cucumber slices to a shaker tin and muddle.
- Add LALO Tequila, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, mint leaves, and ice. Shake until chilled and diluted.
- Double fine strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.
- Top with sparkling mineral water.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and cucumber slice. Serve immediately. ¡Salud!

Citrus Mint Ranch Water
Ranch Water is already one of the simplest, most satisfying tequila drinks out there—just LALO, lime, and sparkling mineral water. This version adds fresh mint and a few citrus slices to the glass, and it’s enough. The mint lifts the whole thing without changing what makes Ranch Water so good. This is the one for an afternoon when you want something that feels effortless.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz LALO Tequila
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 4 oz Sparkling Mineral Water
- 4–5 Mint Leaves
- Orange and lime slices for garnish
Directions
- Add LALO Tequila and fresh lime juice to an ice-filled highball glass. Stir briefly.
- Top with sparkling mineral water.
- Add mint leaves and citrus slices directly to the glass.
- Serve immediately. ¡Salud!
LALO Mint Margarita
A margarita doesn’t need much to be great. LALO, lime, a touch of sweetness—that’s already there. Muddle a few mint leaves into the shaker and it adds something that’s hard to pin down: a little herbal, a little cool, nothing that overpowers. If you’re already making margaritas, this is a one-ingredient addition worth trying.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz LALO Tequila
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.75 oz Triple Sec
- 0.5 oz Agave Syrup
- 5–6 Mint Leaves
- Salt for rim (optional)
- Mint sprig and lime wheel for garnish
Directions
- Muddle mint leaves with agave syrup in a shaker tin.
- Add LALO Tequila, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and ice. Shake well until chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Salt rim optional.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel. ¡Salud!
One Ingredient, Three Ways
Fresh mint, LALO, and whatever you have in the fridge. That’s really all this is. The Cucumber Mojitarita is the showstopper. The Ranch Water is the weeknight regular. The Mint Margarita is the upgrade you didn’t know your go-to needed.
Pick one. Or make all three and see which one sticks.
